The Story of the Heavenly Snowflake
We believe the Heavenly Snowflake was sent to earth by God to provide for the needs of the infirmed, the poor and the abandoned. Remember that no two snowflakes are alike. This snowflake fell, at this point in history, when the greatest number of people are suffering since the Great Depression. This is not the first time that God has provided by sending a gift from heaven. He sent His people hoarfrost to eat in the desert. The story is a Christmas miracle.
Professor Kenneth G. Libbrecht of Caltech has spent his life photographing snowflakes. An exposé of his work was featured in a national magazine. One snowflake formed an ice cross. A picture of the snowflake cross was sent to Christopher Radko, a famous designer of Christmas ornaments. He followed the etchings of the ice crystal and developed the Heavenly Snowflake ornament. All proceeds from the sale of this ornament will be used by Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida to benefit the needs of the vulnerable in our community.
The Heavenly Snowflake ornament sells for $50. Please visit the following to purchase: our Starfish Gala Website,
